This week the infant-b friends started off the week by turning their treasure box into a cozy house.
With sponges and a little paint, the students transformed their box into a beautiful house.
Friends, should we attach lights next?
Yoga!
We were so proud of the students as they followed along with the yoga poses- downward facing dog and happy baby pose. They especially enjoyed stretching their bodies.
Infants and toddlers are naturals when it comes to yoga! Introducing yoga into the classroom can help with increasing body awareness and promoting strength. Whether a pose is done standing, sitting, or lying down, each one can challenge various muscle groups while helping a child become aware of his/her body.
While having fun, yoga can also help strengthen their balance and concentration.
Circle Time!
The students love morning and afternoon circle time. it is an amazing time in the day when all the students gather together to sing their favorite songs, socialize and read stories.
Our friends are always excited to sing good morning to each other, welcoming each student with a handshake or high-five.
As of lately, they have preferred giving high-fives in the morning, saying “boom” when they give their teacher or friend a high-five :)
They have also been suggesting to their teachers which book they would like to read or which song they would like to sing next. Verbally communicating their preference!
Teacher: “what other song should we sing?”
Student: “Ba ba!”
student: “Up above!”
Student: “Row row!”
Note: “ba ba” = Ba Ba Black Sheep
“up above”= Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
“Row Row”= Row your Boat
We have recently introduced two new songs into our circle time- “Jump in the water” and “Ring Around the Rosie”.
The students love to stand up and hold hands while singing “Ring Around the Rosie”. They especially think its hilarious to watch there teachers fall down :)
Admiring and kissing My Reflection!
Thank you, infant-b families!
Have a lovely weekend.
