This week the infant-b class started their week off with watercolor paint!
The students enjoy exploring watercolor paint, eager to soak their brushes in the bright yet transparent medium, to create delicate lines and wiggles on white canvas paper.
Painting with young children not only helps their creative development, but it also stimulates their brain. Children who paint learn to think with an open mind, to look at situations creatively. They learn to express themselves more deeply through their art and their words.
Spring Market Crafts!
Our spring art show and the spring market is approaching fast. The infant-B friends are working very hard decorating their craft pieces for the Spring Market. We are decorating bowls
Spring Art Show/Market- May 23rd and May 24th
Drawing While Listening to Classical Music!
The students drawing techniques have all strengthened, over a brief time. The children are making beautiful, intentional marks while drawing with crayons. With impressive hand-eye coordination, the students are creating bold strokes, wiggles, and circles on their papers- while correctly identifying colors. Bravo Friends!
It was also lovely to see how the children's art responded to the music. As the tempo and speed of the music quickened and slowed, so did their hand movement across their papers.
Interesting!
