I want to start off by saying THANK YOU! It is wonderful to still be able to interact with everyone. You all have jumped on board so quickly while juggling everything else going on in life. Everyone is rocking the assignments and hopefully you’re having fun too!
Morning Meeting
Starting off our day with morning meeting helps set the tone for the day. This week we played “What’s in my Box?” and the Prediction Game. We also had show and tell, talked about where we were, as well as what we had planned each day.
Inclined Plane Study
We created ramps that (a) made a ball go through something, and (b) made a ball go in a trap. Challenges like these are good for problem solving distance, angles, and positioning.
Portraits
This week we worked on creating portraits of someone else. Drawing a picture of someone is a great way to slow down, ask yourself questions, and pay attention to details. What color are their eyes? Is their hair long or short? What are they wearing.
A,B,A,B…
This week the children were challenged to create a pattern using movement! Despite this being a tricky challenge (having to think how to move your body while moving it), the children nailed it!
Does it Dissolve?
Everyone searched through their pantries to find items they thought might and might not dissolve. Guess what? Apples definitely do not dissolve! Thanks for testing that out Leo.
Up, Up, and Away!
What can you use in your house to make the tallest tower possible? Our friends used toys, pots, a cavaletti, and more!
