Squeeze, drip, down the inclined plane…

This week we started creating individual artwork using a ramp/inclined plane. As the children worked, they observed what happened to their paint as it moved down the ramp, creating a puddle of paint at the bottom. Sometimes the paint splattered if they squeezed the pipette with force, and sometimes the paint moved slowly down the paper when the pipette was squeezed gently. We’ll continue creating more pieces next week.

Ahh, fresh air!

We made sure to get outside a lot this week! Whether is was a walk around the neighborhood or playing at the park, we enjoyed our time out and about. One day we even stumbled upon a dead bumblebee. We wondered how it got there.

Find the letter’s baby

Working on our letter recognition, and introducing lowercase letters, the children matched the uppercase and lowercase letters by connecting them with a line. This week we worked on the letters A - I. Next week we’ll on J - R.

We love hollow blocks

A day does not go by when the children are not creating with the hollow blocks. This week Aidan made the letter T, friends worked together to create buildings, George and Aidan build a boat with a captain’s seat, and Nora, Noam, and Liv made a comfy resting place.
