Making Play Vanilla Scented Play Dough!
With just flower, salt, water, and Vanilla extract the student helped make play dough!
Our friends squeezed, pulled and poked the medium- each time, the playdough, responding to their actions.
When children begin to notice a change in the play dough, they are learning that their actions have consequences. This is empowerment, it encourages more experimentation.
The child’s brain is taking shape along with the material.
Making Sensory Bottles!
sensory bottles are a direct connection to sensory play. Sensory play is a hands on way to expose children to the world around them and allow their brains to make important connections.
-During our sensory activity, we reviewed our colors and numbers in English and Spanish.
The 1A Classroom Class Photo 2019/2020 School Year!
Home Fun: At home you can practice counting and colors.
Counting: Start counting, and listen to hear your toddler counting along with you. You may even hear them counting ahead of you :)
Colors: The 1A class loves drawing with crayons. While your little ones draw at home, ask them questions.
Examples: “what color are you using?” “What are you drawing?” “which other colors will you use?” These questions will surely spark conversation! -listen to see which colors they shout out, which colors they identify, which colors they favor. Will your little ones also identify the colors in Spanish?
HAVE FUN!
