This week…

Social-Emotional Development/ Lots of Hugs and Gentle Touches!

Blake and her friends are always gentle with one another and show lots of affection.

Welcoming Gus back to school, Blake gives him a big hug! Beautiful Job friends.

Cognitive Development/ Color Recognition/ Spanish!

Throughout the school day, we make sure to incorporate Spanish organically- while singing our favorite songs, reading books, and as we engage in art provocations.

The 1A friends enjoy drawing with crayons, and its the opportunity to practice our colors.

“Friends, what color are you using?”

-Red ( Rojo )

-Blue ( Azul )

-Orange ( Anaranjado )

-Black (Negro )

Valentine's Day Gifts for Mommies and Daddies!

“Friends, what are you making?”

Fine & Gross Motor Development/ Cognitive Development/ Independent Feeding!

Bravo, Arthur!

Each day our 1A friends are getting better at maneuvering their spoons at lunch time. Practice makes perfect!

-When children feed themselves, they develop fine motor skills through touching, grasping, spooning, and squeezing.

Self-feeding offers developing eaters sensory skill development, too, as they explore food's taste, texture, smell, color, and temperature.

Cognitive Development/ Sensory Play/ Investigating and painting with ice!

Sensory activities facilitate exploration and naturally encourage children to use scientific processes while they play, create, investigate and explore. The sensory activities allow children to refine their thresholds for different sensory information helping their brain to create stronger connections to process and respond to sensory information.

Thank you, 1A families!

We hope to see you all at the science fair tomorrow!

February 8, 2020 from 10am-12am.

Have a lovely weekend.
