Morning & Afternoon Meeting!
This week the 1A friends sang their favorite songs via google hangouts, reviewed emotions using visual props, and songs (“Si Estas Feliz”). We conducted a science experiment with baking soda, vinegar, and food coloring. The students also enjoyed puppet play, practiced color recognition with balloons and pom-poms, practiced letters ( using songs and flashcards ), numbers ( through music and counting ), and shape recognition.
Color Eruption: One of Our Favorite Science Experiments!
How science benefits young learner?
Toddlers are natural scientists. As they learn to ask questions, make predictions, observe, test, and then communicate their findings, they are developing critical thinking skills. Students are also being exposed to new vocabulary, math, and the concept of cause and effect. Young learners communicate the results of their explorations through babbling, laughing, physical gestures, facial expressions, and words.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAILE SMILEY

Here is a link where you can watch African animals live in their natural habitats.

This a great site for little ones who love animals. Here are a few questions you can ask your toddler while watching:
What animal do you see?
What is happening?
What are the animals doing?
Why do you think...?
Next, based on the responses, continue asking:
How?
Why?
What?
