Morning & Afternoon Meeting!
This week we reviewed colors with balloons and pom-poms, practiced numbers recognition, emotions, counting, and Spanish vocabulary. We also explored puppets, sang our favorite songs, enjoyed storytime, conducted science experiments.. Muy bien, friends!
Color Mixing Experiment!
This fun science experiment is perfect to practice color recognition!
What will happen if we mix the colors Blue and yellow?
The 1A friends enjoyed making and mixing colors, evident through there facial expressions- wide eyes and big smile.
For our first color mixing experiment, we mixed two primary colors, blue and yellow- magically creating the color Green.
Why Should young learners engage in science experiments?
Toddlers are natural scientists. As they learn to ask questions, make predictions, observe, test, and then communicate their findings, they are developing critical thinking skills. Students are also being exposed to new vocabulary, math, and the concept of cause and effect. Young children communicate the results of their explorations through babbling, laughing, physical gestures, facial expressions, and words.
Here are some pictures that were shared with us this week!

Here is a link where you can watch African animals live in their natural habitats.
https://explore.org/livecams/african-wildlife/african-animal-lookout-camera
This a great site for little ones who love animals. Here are a few questions you can ask your toddler while watching:
What animal do you see?
What is happening?
What are the animals doing?
Why do you think...?
Next, based on the responses, continue asking:
How?
Why?
What?
