We started off the week with Music Monday. We surprised Malina with a concert by Elton John playing one of her favorite songs, “I’m still standing.” We were surprised by Ellis who kindly shared his talent/skill by playing his guitar for us. The children enjoy singing with us during our morning meetings. They requests songs in both Spanish and English and keep themselves active by participating in dancing and following along.

Tasty Tuesday was a fun fruit sushi cooking activity. The children worked on spreading their choice of butter and combination of fruits. We then rolled it up and enjoyed together. We are working on our independency and problem solving skills.

Work together Wednesday was all about saying Thank You to all of our first responders for doing everything they can to keep us all safe and healthy. We love hearing Pre-K stories about their evenings spent cheering on the first responders by their front stoop or displaying rainbows on their windows to spread smiles and hope. It has been an amazing experience watching how much our Pre-K children are getting involved during these very challenging times.

Artsy Thursday was one of our messiest yet most fun day of the week. Art and Science are two of Pre-K’s most requested activities.

Family Friday was about discussing and celebrating all families, big and small.

Ellis: It's like people that live together in one place. Families keep growing. Some people have two moms.

Adela: A brother, daddy and mommy.

Geneva: Dogs have families. When we all live together at the same time and the same age, you are a family.

Will: Some people don't have moms.
