This week we worked on rhyming, played memory games, participated in movement, and had so such a great time creating a fun creation center in our virtual classroom. The children enjoy collecting materials and joining our meetings for creation center. During our afternoon activities the children worked on tin foil art. We asked the children to bring along a few sheets of foil paper and their imagination! We were so impressed at. what they came up with.

What is a rhyme?

Ellis: A rhyme is when you have two words that end in the same sound.

Will: It's like a word that sounds like a different word with different letters and has the same number of letters and ends in the same sound.

Geneva: If you say something that sounds the same it can make a pattern.

Mercer: Like cat and hat.

Pre-K has been really enjoying our Creation Center. They enjoy collecting materials and bringing their artwork for a “show and tell.” This has really helped in getting to hear more from the children. They really appreciate the freedom in creating, it allows their creative minds to collect ideas and share them with us.
