CLASSROOM HIGHLIGHT: 1B
It finally feels like fall and our children are busy getting ready for the Pumpkin Picking Trip at White Post Farms next Wednesday 10/16. Classrooms have been on many neighborhood adventures to find local Tribeca Pumpkins for their room! 1B found one today that was the perfect fit, along with some other smaller pumpkins and gourds. Next week they will transform their pumpkin into a jack o lantern. The 1B children will vote on what shape of the eyes, nose and mouth to see how they’d like to design it. They will then pick what color to paint their small pumpkins. Their classroom has transformed into fall from the watercolor paper-towel master piece to their handprint pumpkins.
We are asking that all parents please help their children gather natural fall materials to bring to their classrooms on Tuesday after the long weekend!
SPECIALISTS STARTED!
We have now kicked off all Specialists! From Cooking with Diane, Music, Soccer, Spanish and Yoga we have had a fun-filled week of excitement. Our new music Andrew mentioned today that he works at many schools in NYC and Jersey City but the children at BMS are the most receptive he’s ever seen.
