We had a new friend join us this week at BMS! Welcome Noam and family. They just moved here from Israel and are joining the 2s class. We are so excited to get to know you!

Welcome Noam!

Monday we had an amazing day celebrating Kyan's 3rd Birthday party. We decorated a photo frame, dressed up, and had so much fun taking instant pictures with a special camera. Happy Birthday, Kyan!

In addition to Kyan's birthday, we also had karate.

On Tuesday, we made a marble run with some of the recycled materials that you all have been bringing in. Keep them coming! The friends have been interested in construction and putting things together to make new things. We also had a makeup karate lesson, letting us do martial arts two days in a row. What a treat!

Wednesday we explored light and building in our block area. We also had Spanish and started to compile recycled materials to accompany our robot heads made out of paper mache.

With the lights, we pretended to make a cake (clearly, Kyan's birthday was still on everyone's mind!) and sang happy birthday to each friend.

Thursday was PICTURE DAY! The friends had so much fun and the photographers took some excellent pictures. For a sneak peak of the photos, check out the instagram. We can't wait to see how everyone's picture turns out.

Friday was our Friday Fun Day! After a great day filled with fun center time and yoga, we transformed the large room into a movement studio to play some games. The friends got out tape and explored building an obstacle course to work on gross motor skills. To clean up, the friends practiced ripping and peeling up the tape working on their fine motor skills. We then got out the large parachute and moved all around! Eventually, the parachute turned into a boat, and all the children rowed the boat right to lunch time.

Remember to look at the google drive. There are so many more fantastic pictures from every day! Also, stay posted for a newsletter today explaining more of our recent projects.

Have a great weekend!
