We started off our week with a block workshop. Using only units, the children worked on creating bridges, enclosures, and anything else they wanted to make. Some children worked with another friend to combine structures, others wanted to work alone.
During this week’s small group work sessions, the children have created art pieces using clay, wire, and beads, began drawing out their monster costume ideas, and participated in the above block workshops.
This week we started working with our specialists. On Mondays we have karate with Ms. Bibi. On Wednesdays we have Spanish with Ernestina. On Fridays we have yoga with Stelios.
We also had our first park day for the school year! Before heading outside we came up with rules for the park. When we got there everyone had a blast. There was running, climbing, balancing, and just overall fun!
