Halloween Week comes to an end and new projects begin!
This was a very exciting and busy week for the Pre-K. After so much dedication and work in creating our Halloween costumes this month, the Pre-K kids finally got to celebrate one of the most anticipated holidays! Our Ice Cream costumes were a big success and the children were so proud of their creations. In addition to the treats, the children enjoyed their delicious popsicles we made last week! It was a perfect Halloween celebration. We also took our first walk of the year as a class to our local playground, Washington Market Playground. The children did a phenomenal job walking as a group. We enjoyed a beautiful sunny day at the playground running, playing games, and took lots of pictures with colorful leaves we found on the ground.
Graydon’s Workshop
Graydon’s “How to make a mask” workshop was so much fun! He first created a mask for himself that he shared with his friends. Once everyone noticed how fun Graydon’s mask was they quickly requested for Graydon to teach them how to make one for them. Graydon was so proud and happy to teach everyone how to make one. He explained step by step how to recreate his mask. Once his workshop got crowded and everyone began to ask for a mask at the same time Graydon was sure to remind his friends to have “patience”, and that he was so busy. He explained to them that he only had “two hands” and that he could “only help 1 friend at a time”. (Sounds like Graydon has been listening closely to this teachers) Everyone enjoyed Graydon’s workshop so much. We brainstormed ideas for the next workshop.
A boat created by Sam, Rex, and Milo.
Rex: This is our boat.
Sam: We are going to Connecticut to visit my cousin Rachel.
Milo: Yes, we are going to visit Rachel but first we have to call to see if she’s home.
Rex: What is her phone number Sam?
Sam: I think is 335516
Milo: Okay, Hello? Rachel? Sam say hi.
Sam: Hi cousin Rachel!
Milo: Rex you say hi.
Rex: Hi cousin Rachel!
They all laugh.
Milo: We are coming over okay! Bye!
Thursday Funday!
We enjoy our Thursdays in the gym. We also get to join 3B for snacks and centers. We use this time to explore our school community. This week we headed out the playground! While in the playground the children observed the colored changing leaves, silly carved pumpkins and made new friends at the park.
Spooky Story Illustrations
This week we completed our spooky story written by the Pre-K. Everyone illustrated important characters and scenes from our story. These colorful illustrations will be added to their story and printed! We are so excited for you all to see the finish product!
