Now that we are ready for larger group meetings, together, we made a promise to listen and be respectful to one another. We are practicing raising our hand when we are ready to share. Pre-K is so excited that they now get to see everyone, it is definitely giving us all a feeling of togetherness and normalcy. We are so excited to make this an everyday experience.
Adela is really excited about the vegetables growing. She displayed her collage on her bedroom wall. Adela has been busy with paper creations with Chela. She wants to play letter games with the group. She wants to do more cutting activities.If I try to make Elsa I can ask for help. My mommy brought play dough so now there’s play dough to play with.
Malina has mastered her focus during our morning meetings. She is actively listening and participating! Malina is more confident these days and has so much to share while staying on topic. She is really excited about her new work notebook, and she also has set a goal for herself, she wants to learn how to read in Danish!
Charlotte has been enjoying spending more time with her sisters, “I am going to cry out of happiness.” She has been taking care of them by playing with them and teaching them how to write and draw. She has been reminding her sisters to put the cap on markers. “They have been making big messes. They get a lot of sugar rushes and go crazy.” Charlotte is also enjoying sleeping in like sleeping beauty. “I slept for like 100 minutes.”
Mercer has been enjoying nature walks with her parents, “I saw hummingbird in someones backyard. I walked to the lake and my daddy thought it wasn’t a real one. It was sitting on a rock and it had moss on it. I also saw a beaver in my frontward. The grass there is starting to grow flowers.”
Geneva has developed a new hobby during our morning meetings. She loves to play dress-up! She always has props on-hand when we sing songs and she loves to share about all of the amazing things she is currently working hard to learn these days. This week she gave us a tour of her room.
Katerina is mastering her art skill. This week she painted a garden.
“I went to the beach and collected more shells. One day we went to the beach and we saw one this big! But it was all broken. But maybe we can find the pieces that broke off and stick them back together with glue.”
She is excited to watch the kangaroos. I love them because they carry a baby in their tummies.
William picked out a puppy this weekend! They haven’t figured out a name but William wants to name her Poodle. He has been going on bicycle rides, “I have a red bicycle.”
He’s been observing animals, “I watched a hippo. I watched it on TV but it’s a real life animal. It’s not videos of whats happening right that second but they are real life animals.”
He also had a Zoom party! “I had a Zoom party! With my family. It was my 2 cousins, their mom, and dad from California. My grandma and my grandpa from Arizona. And my mom’s sister. my aunt, Virginia.
Rsnsom shared that his cousin Cole is in town, he was so excited. “He came with his dad, Richard, and his mom, Michelle.
“I go a new drone, do you want to see how it works?”
“I miss school so much.”
Ellis has been really enjoying his family walks, “We sometimes take different routes on neighborhood walks. We go to Tribeca, sometimes we may go down to Soho. We usually stay in Soho not the end of Soho.”
Ellis got a new haircut this week! He looks so much older! Ellis discussed about his new home schedule.He is happy that he has many options. One of his options this week was a puzzle. Maria shared the puzzle with tiny pieces she worked on this week too. Ellis has a notebook where he practices his writing. “This notebook has lots of pages, maybe 100, so I can practice a lot.”
